How zone count drives the total

The scaling is not linear. Going from 1 to 3 zones roughly doubles the cost, but going from 3 to 6 zones adds only 50% to 60%. This is because the per-session costs (facility booking, anesthesia induction, pre-op labs) are fixed regardless of zone count. The scaling comes from surgeon time and anesthesia time, which increase proportionally but not at the same rate as the zone count.
What your liposuction quote should answer
- How does the quote define a "zone"? Abdomen is sometimes one zone, sometimes two (upper and lower).
- What technique? Tumescent, VASER, power-assisted (PAL), laser-assisted, and high-definition lipo are priced differently.
- Is lymphatic drainage massage included? How many sessions?
- Is the compression garment included?
- What is the fat volume limit per session? ASPS recommends no more than 5 liters. Does the quote account for staging if your plan exceeds this?
- If fat is being transferred (to buttocks or breasts), is the lipo quoted as part of the transfer or separately?
